Meet Dr. Kamran Rahmat Nejad

Dr. Kamran R. Nejad is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cataract and glaucoma specialist at Northwest Eye. He provides exceptional medical and surgical care, including laser-assisted cataract surgery, light-adjustable and multifocal lens implants, laser glaucoma procedures, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He is fluent in English and Farsi and enjoys partnering with patients from diverse backgrounds to create practical treatment plans that protect vision and fit real-world lives.

Dr. Nejad completed his glaucoma fellowship at the University of California, San Diego and a clinical research glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. He also completed ophthalmology residencies at Eastern Virginia Medical School and in Tehran, Iran, and earned his medical degree from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, where he was the top student in his class of 2006.

Actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society, Dr. Nejad is committed to advancing eye care. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, and traveling with his family.
