About Me
Dr. Kamal Fahim is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides a broad range of eye care services. He specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma management with laser treatment, diabetic eye disease management, and eyelid surgery. Dr. Fahim is widely respected as one of the top cataract surgeons in the region and serves as a Clinical Instructor at the Kresge Eye Institute.
Dr. Fahim completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute after training in general surgery and earning his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, where he finished his undergraduate degree in just three years due to his academic achievements.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Fahim is a published author on cataract surgery and holds a faculty position at Wayne State University. He sees patients in Port Huron, Fort Gratiot, and the metro Detroit area, performing surgeries at various medical centers and offering laser procedures on-site at Port Huron Eye Care Institute.
