About Me
Dr. Sheila Shifrin is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic surgery. With over five years of experience, she provides care at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn and St. Joseph Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Her expertise encompasses both functional and cosmetic aspects of eyelid and eyebrow surgery, as well as the management of eyelid skin cancer, thyroid eye disease, tearing disorders, facial trauma, and blepharospasm.
Dr. Shifrin completed her undergraduate education at Emory University in Atlanta and earned a Master's in Vascular Biology from Georgetown University. She then received her medical degree and ophthalmology training at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following this, she undertook a combined oculoplastic and neuro-ophthalmology fellowship in Detroit, which equipped her with advanced skills in her specialty.
