About Me
Dr. Joshua Hardin is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of cataracts and glaucoma. He provides comprehensive eye care, including screening exams for diabetes, age-related macular degeneration, common eye diseases, and ocular emergencies. His surgical expertise encompasses routine and complex cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens implants, glaucoma filtering procedures, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. He is also proficient in various laser procedures for eye conditions.
Dr. Hardin completed his undergraduate education at the University of North Texas and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas. He served his ophthalmology residency at the University of Arkansas and completed a fellowship in glaucoma at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor and Director of Ophthalmic Urgent Care at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was involved in patient care, teaching, and research.
He is passionate about providing sight-saving care and emphasizes patient education, involving patients as team members in their treatment approach. His clinical and academic work has been published in major peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals.
