Dr. Joseph Kappil

Dr. Joseph C. Kappil is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Whispering Point Ophthalmology, providing comprehensive eye care to patients in the McHenry and Algonquin communities. He is on medical staff at Northwestern McHenry, Huntley, and Woodstock Hospitals.

Dr. Kappil treats a wide range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, and macular degeneration. He performs routine eye exams and contact lens fittings to help patients maintain optimal vision. Dr. Kappil completed his medical education at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, followed by an internship at Loyola Medicine MacNeal Hospital and residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is fluent in Spanish, allowing him to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
