Dr. Joseph Hoffman

Dr. Joseph I. Hoffman is a board-certified general ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive cataract surgery. He offers comprehensive eye care, treating conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye. Dr. Hoffman is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal vision through advanced surgical techniques and personalized care. His approach emphasizes patient education and individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Hoffman completed his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Miami, followed by an internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center and an ophthalmology residency at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He is actively involved in teaching as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty Associate Professor at multiple optometry schools and as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Bascom Palmer. He has helped train over 850 optometry students and continues to mentor residents and fellows in cataract surgery.
