About Me
Dr. Jonathan Casciano is an ophthalmologist with advanced training in cornea and external eye disease. He completed his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he graduated with a 4.0 record and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His residency in ophthalmology was completed at UAMS, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and the Central Arkansas VA hospital, and he was honored as resident of the year. Dr. Casciano further specialized through a fellowship at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center, focusing on cornea transplants, external eye disease, and LASIK.
Dr. Casciano served for six years at the Central Arkansas VA, including three years as chief of service, where he expanded services for veterans and taught cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and ocular surface diseases. He is experienced in managing a wide range of eye conditions and incorporates advanced technologies such as toric and multifocal lenses, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and corneal endothelial transplants. Dr. Casciano currently sees patients at the Blandford Building on St. Vincent’s campus and performs surgery at Fair Park Surgery Center in Little Rock and Baptist Springhill in North Little Rock.
