Meet Dr. Christian Hester
About Me
Dr. Christian Hester is an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and refractive surgery. He completed his undergraduate education at Hendrix College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business and was awarded the Mosley Economics and Business Award and the President’s Medal. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, serving as president of his medical school class and receiving the Ethel Brickey Hicks Scholarship and Dean’s Office Scholarship. Dr. Hester completed his ophthalmology residency at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, where he served as chief resident.
To further specialize, Dr. Hester completed a fellowship in cornea, refractive, and anterior segment surgery at the Cullen Eye Institute at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He also spent a month in Madura, India, focusing on manual small incision cataract surgery. Dr. Hester has served on the Arkansas Medical Society and California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons Board of Trustees, and has held several leadership positions in the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
