Dr. John Fitz

Dr. John Fitz established Precision Eye Care in 1986, becoming the first full-time ophthalmologist between Cape Girardeau and the St. Louis metro area. He offers comprehensive eye care with a special focus on cataract surgery and glaucoma management, both medical and surgical. Dr.

Fitz has extensive experience in refractive surgery, including LASIK, PRK, and other procedures, and utilizes advanced techniques such as femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery. He also provides correction for presbyopia and astigmatism using toric and multifocal lens implants. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of several professional organizations. Dr. Fitz also serves as president and founder of the Surgery Center of Farmington, which provides high-quality outpatient surgical care.
