About Me
Dr. J. Peter Campbell, M.D., M.P.H., is the Edwin and Josephine Knowles Endowed Professor of Ophthalmology and a professor at the OHSU School of Medicine. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retina and vitreous diseases, with a clinical focus on pediatric retina, retina surgery, and retinopathy of prematurity. Dr. Campbell accepts new patients and is highly rated by his patients.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Physics from Davidson College, followed by an M.D. and M.P.H. from Johns Hopkins University. His residency was completed at the Wilmer Eye Institute, and he undertook a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Casey Eye Institute. Dr. Campbell's research interests center on utilizing technology to improve the care of patients with retinal disease, both domestically and internationally, with ongoing projects in retinopathy of prematurity and diabetic retinopathy.
