About Me
Dr. John Michaelos is an ophthalmologist who has been practicing since 1997. He specializes in laser vision correction, cataract surgery, and cosmetic eye procedures. Dr. Michaelos was one of the first physicians in Florida to implant the PanOptix multi-focal lens, a premium intraocular lens option for cataract patients. He continues to stay current with advances in technology through continuing education.
Dr. Michaelos completed a fellowship in corneal and external diseases at the University of South Florida. He serves as an associate professor in ophthalmology at USF and Nova Southeastern University, and is the director of St. Michael's Eye & Laser Institute and St. Michael's Surgery Center. He is part of a multigenerational practice dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care.
