Dr. John Koo

Dr. John J. Koo is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic surgery. He grew up in Northern California and completed his medical and business degrees at Yale, followed by an internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and residency and fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Koo is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

His practice focuses on conditions of the eyelids, eye socket, and tear drain system, and he also performs cosmetic procedures around the eyes. Dr. Koo takes a collaborative approach to patient care, taking time to explain medical conditions and treatment options and encouraging patients to ask questions to ensure they understand their care plan.
