Dr. John Boatwright

Dr. John Boatwright is a board-certified ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon with Carolina Eyecare Physicians. He provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on cataract and refractive surgery, including laser cataract surgery and LASIK. Dr. Boatwright also has specialized training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, allowing him to treat eye misalignment and vision issues in children.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Boatwright founded Carolina Eyecare Physicians and the Physicians' Eye Surgery Center. He treats a wide array of ocular conditions that can develop across a patient's lifespan, from routine eye exams to complex surgical needs. He is actively involved in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and other professional organizations, and volunteers with Operation Sight to provide cataract surgery to uninsured patients in South Carolina.
