Dr. Yong Kam is a board-certified anterior segment surgeon with specialized expertise in advanced cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery. He focuses on restoring clear, comfortable vision using modern lens technology and procedures such as EVO ICL for patients who are not LASIK candidates. A Kansas City native, Dr. Kam completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center after earning his MD and BS at the University of Kansas. During fellowship training he received the P.J. Leinfelder Award for Excellence in Research. At Moyes Eye Center he performs complex cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and anterior segment reconstruction, and collaborates closely with optometrists to optimize outcomes and recovery.
