About Me

Dr. Jessica Yang Walia is a cornea and external disease specialist at Washington University in St. Louis. She cares for adults with a wide range of corneal and ocular surface disorders, from dry eye and inflammatory conditions to complex infections and scarring. In addition to subspecialty care, she provides comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations and works closely with referring providers to coordinate long-term management.

Dr. Walia earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and went on to a fellowship in cornea and external diseases at Washington University in St. Louis. She serves as an assistant professor of ophthalmology with a focus on cornea and external disease. Dr. Walia is dedicated to patient education and shared decision-making, taking time to explain diagnoses, set expectations, and design treatment plans that fit each patient’s visual needs and daily life.
