About Me
Jesse Richman, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. He has received numerous local, state, and national selections as a “Top Doc” and was named a 2026 Castle Connolly and Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctor.
Dr. Richman completed his undergraduate education at Penn State University, graduating cum laude, and earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. His training includes an internship at Frankford Torresdale Hospital, an ophthalmology residency at Brown University where he was appointed Chief Resident, and a glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Richman has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals, authored textbook chapters, and presented research at major ophthalmic assemblies. He holds a patent for the Spaeth-Richman Contrast Sensitivity Test, a diagnostic tool for glaucoma, and has developed surgical techniques for eye surgery. Dr. Richman is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
