Dr. Jeremy Cefalu

Dr. Jeremy Cefalu is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at EyeCare Associates of East Texas in Tyler, TX. He specializes in cataract surgery and glaucoma management, including surgical interventions for these conditions. His expertise allows him to provide comprehensive eye care, from routine exams to complex procedures.

Dr. Cefalu completed his medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, followed by an internship in internal medicine and a residency in ophthalmology at the same institution. He then pursued a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, enhancing his skills in this specialized area.

Since joining the Tyler community in 2018, Dr. Cefalu has been dedicated to offering personalized and advanced eye care. He is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.
