Dr. Jeffrey Heier

Dr. Jeffrey Heier is a retina specialist at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, where he serves as Director of the Vitreoretinal Service and Director of Retina Research. He treats a wide range of retinal conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and retinal vein occlusion. Dr. Heier has been actively involved in landmark clinical trials for new treatments for advanced dry AMD, neovascular AMD, and retinal vein occlusions, and he has authored over 140 peer-reviewed works.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Heier is President of the Retina Society and a member of the executive committee of the American Society of Retina Specialists. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Heier sees patients at the Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston locations in Boston and Waltham.
