About Me
Dr. Sorkin is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing in Peabody since 2000. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, providing medical and surgical care for a wide range of eye conditions in children and adults. His expertise includes the management of strabismus using advanced adjustable suture techniques, disorders of the lacrimal (tear) system, and complex refractive errors including those related to amblyopia.
Dr. Sorkin also offers an active contact lens practice, treating astigmatism with toric lenses and presbyopia with bifocal contact lenses. He is available for consultation on all aspects of pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, including double vision (diplopia) and cosmetic eye alignment issues.
With training from Brandeis University, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, a residency at the University of Florida, and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Emory University, Dr. Sorkin brings extensive experience to his practice. He is affiliated with Children's Hospital Boston and maintains privileges at Northshore Medical Center and Beverly Hospital.
