Dr. Jay Joseph

Dr. Arun Joseph is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Harvard fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist whose primary clinical interest is in glaucoma. He specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of this condition, having trained in the full array of interventional glaucoma treatments, including office-based and surgical laser therapies.

During his surgical glaucoma fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Joseph was mentored by renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Mark Latina, the inventor of selective laser trabeculoplasty. He is one of the few specialists in the country to have trained directly under Dr. Latina. After returning home, he founded Dallas Glaucoma Specialists to provide premier glaucoma care in his community and became the first surgeon to implant the XEN glaucoma stent in Collin County.

Dr. Joseph believes in a conservative approach to care, favoring open discussions with each patient about their glaucoma and the appropriate treatment options when necessary.
