Dr. Javier De La Torre

Dr. Javier De la Torre is a refractive surgeon and medical ophthalmologist at Southwest Eye Institute in El Paso, Texas. He specializes in LASIK and PRK procedures and provides advanced care for conditions such as pterygium, corneal cross-linking, dry eye management, chalazion removal, and ocular lesions. Known for combining surgical precision with a personalized, patient-focused approach, Dr. De la Torre has been recognized as a leading laser eye surgeon in the region.

Dr. De la Torre completed his medical training at the Central University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and went on to serve as an active-duty ophthalmologist in the U.S. Army, where he helped establish a refractive surgery program. He continues to serve as a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at the Texas Tech Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, bringing his expertise to the El Paso community.
