About Me
Dr. Jason Yonker is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Chesapeake Eye Center with specialized expertise in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from West Virginia University and his medical doctorate from the same institution, followed by an ophthalmology residency with a focus on cataract and glaucoma surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, where he served as chief resident. He subsequently completed a fellowship at the same institute.
Dr. Yonker has published multiple articles and delivered lectures on glaucoma at the state level. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Glaucoma Society. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as the director of Ophthalmology at Atlantic General Hospital and has held roles as an assistant professor of ophthalmology at Wayne State University, where he helped train residents and develop the medical student curriculum. Dr. Yonker is dedicated to providing high-quality, ethical eye care with a personal touch.
