Meet Dr. Jason Hooton
About Me
Dr. Jason Hooton is a cornea and external disease specialist who cares for patients with a wide range of corneal conditions, from dry eye and ocular surface disease to corneal infections. He has a special focus on complex cataract surgery and partial-thickness corneal transplantation, using modern techniques to help patients see more clearly and comfortably.
Originally from Rexburg, Idaho, Dr. Hooton graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University-Idaho and attended the University of Washington School of Medicine as an Idaho WWAMI student. He completed ophthalmology training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and then pursued fellowship training in Cornea, External Diseases and Refractive Surgery at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. He brings this advanced training to help patients understand their options and feel confident in a clear, step-by-step care plan.
