About Me
Dr. Jamie M. Prince is a vitreoretinal surgeon dedicated to preserving and restoring sight for patients across North Carolina. A Raleigh-area native fluent in Spanish, she cares for the full spectrum of retinal disease, including macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular occlusions, retinal detachments, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes, and performs advanced procedures such as vitrectomy, intravitreal injections, and complex secondary lens implantation when needed. Dr. Prince earned her undergraduate degree in biology at UNC Charlotte, then completed both her MD and a Master of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She finished ophthalmology residency at UNC, where she served as chief resident and was recognized with the Arthur C. Chandler Jr., MD Resident Teaching Award, followed by fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Emory Eye Center in Atlanta. She is passionate about patient education and improving access to care, and she brings a calm, communicative style to every visit.
