About Me
Dr. James P. Mondzelewski is an ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon serving patients in the Pittsburgh area. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of cataracts and glaucoma, with particular expertise in small incision, sutureless, patchless cataract surgery. Dr. Mondzelewski founded Glaucoma-Cataract Consultants, Inc. in 1988, and continues to provide care for complex glaucoma cases requiring subspecialty treatment.
Dr. Mondzelewski is board-certified in ophthalmology and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is on the medical staff at the Eye and Ear Hospital, St. Clair Memorial Hospital, and Mon Valley Hospital. His extensive training includes a glaucoma fellowship completed in 1980 at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Mondzelewski is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of several professional medical societies.
