Dr. Jaime Jimenez Agosto

Dr. Jaime Jiménez is a retina specialist at Southern Eye Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with over 25 years of experience. He provides medical and surgical care for a range of retinal and vitreous conditions, including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, retinal holes and tears, retinal detachment, and floaters.

Dr. Jiménez completed his medical school and residency at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued fellowship training in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery at the University of Texas in Houston. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and other professional societies, and has been recognized for his contributions to the community through various awards.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Jiménez has served on the board of the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi and has been active in community organizations such as the Hattiesburg Rotary Club and the Boy Scouts of America.
