About Me
Dr. Jason Mantagos is a pediatric ophthalmologist and Assistant Surgeon at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, where he provides comprehensive eye care for children. He also holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. His clinical practice is dedicated to the management of a variety of pediatric eye conditions.
Dr. Mantagos specializes in the treatment of strabismus (misaligned eyes) in both children and adults, pediatric cataracts, and nasolacrimal (tearing) problems. He offers expert care for complex eye disorders and is experienced in performing surgeries to correct these conditions.
He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Boston University and earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Mantagos then completed an internship at Carney Hospital, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Boston University School of Medicine. He further specialized through a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Mantagos is board certified in ophthalmology and neurology and sees patients at the main campus of Mass Eye and Ear in Boston.
