About Me
Dr. Hari Mylvaganam is an ophthalmologist with fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery. He cares for patients with retina and vitreous conditions and provides both in-office diagnostics and surgical care, with a focus on preserving and restoring vision.
Dr. Mylvaganam graduated magna cum laude from the Boston University Honors Program with a degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and earned his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. He completed residency training at Georgetown University, where he received the String of Pearls award recognizing excellence in teaching and humanism in patient care, and then completed a combined fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Cook County/Retina Associates in Chicago. During his training he pursued immunology research related to HIV and the anterior chamber of the eye, co-authored peer-reviewed articles, and presented at national and local conferences. He looks forward to caring for families and patients in his community.
