Dr. Grant Carlisle

Grant Carlisle, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in treating a wide range of eye conditions, including intraocular surgery and ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He provides both functional and cosmetic procedures for the eyelids, eyebrows, and tear ducts, helping patients achieve better vision and comfort.

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Dr. Carlisle completed his undergraduate studies and medical degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth through an accelerated program. He further trained with an internship at Hennepin Healthcare, followed by an ophthalmology residency where he served as chief resident, and a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery, both at Penn State Health.

Dr. Carlisle now brings his expertise back to the Iron Range, focusing on comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on cataract surgery and periocular procedures. He is committed to patient-centered care and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with family and friends.
