About Me
Dr. Giacomina Massaro-Giordano is an ophthalmologist who specializes in ocular surface disease and dry eye. Inspired by her grandmother and mother, she developed a passion for ocular health and has dedicated her career to diagnosing and treating dry eye disease. She founded a pioneering multidisciplinary center for dry eye diagnosis and treatment using advanced technology, and now brings her expertise to the NYU Langone Eye Center.
Dr. Massaro-Giordano has conducted extensive research as a principal investigator on numerous clinical trials, contributing to the FDA approval of the first biologic eye drop for regenerating damaged corneal nerves. She has published on dry eye and presented at medical society meetings, earning recognition such as the Penn Master Clinician Award. Her work continues to focus on advancing the understanding and management of ocular surface conditions.
