About Me
Dr. George S. Malouf Jr. is an ophthalmologist and surgeon who has been serving the Camp Springs, Maryland area since 1983. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, and ocular trauma, including fractures of the orbit and lacerations of the face. Dr. Malouf has extensive experience managing eye injuries, having served as the only ophthalmologist at the trauma center of Prince George's Hospital for many years. In 1983, he performed the first corneal transplant in Prince George's county.
Throughout his career, Dr. Malouf has been actively involved in advancing the field of ophthalmology. He has served on the council of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and as president of the Maryland Eye Society. He has also taught hundreds of doctors in training. Dr. Malouf's commitment to patient care and surgical excellence has been recognized by his peers, including being named a "Top Doc" by Washingtonian Magazine in 2014.
