Dr. Geoffrey H. Basson is a neuro-ophthalmologist who diagnoses and manages visual disorders resulting from neurological or neuromuscular causes. As an Attending Physician in Neuro-Ophthalmology and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Neurology at Montefiore-Einstein, he brings specialized expertise to patients with disturbances of vision linked to the central nervous system.
Dr. Basson is board-certified in both ophthalmology and neurology and is a Senior Fellow of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. His career has been dedicated to understanding the complex relationship between the visual system and the brain, allowing him to treat conditions such as optic neuropathy, double vision, and unexplained vision loss with a thorough, multidisciplinary approach.
