About Me
Dr. Eugene Lowry is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He became board-certified in 2020 and completed his medical degree with distinction at UC San Francisco, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the same institution. To further specialize, Dr. Lowry undertook a glaucoma fellowship at the Devers Eye Institute of Legacy Health and the Casey Eye Institute of Oregon Health and Science University in Portland.
Dr. Lowry is an active researcher with over a dozen first-author publications in peer-reviewed ophthalmic literature, focusing on glaucoma, cataract surgery, and population-based eye health. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. His clinical expertise includes advanced glaucoma surgical techniques as well as cataract surgery and the management of related eye conditions.
