Dr. Ernest Kornmehl

Dr. Kornmehl is an ophthalmologist and laser eye surgeon serving patients in Boston and beyond. He specializes in refractive surgery procedures including LASIK and PRK, and also treats dry eye disease and corneal conditions. He developed the Kornmehl LASIK System, a line of surgical instruments designed to improve the consistency of LASIK results. Patients from across the United States and around the world travel to see Dr. Kornmehl for their eye care.

Dr. Kornmehl completed his ophthalmology residency at Yale School of Medicine and a fellowship in corneal surgery at Harvard Medical School. He holds academic appointments as a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School and as an Associate Clinical Professor at Tufts School of Medicine.
