About Me
Dr. Erick Rivera-Grana is an ophthalmologist with dual fellowship training in uveitis and glaucoma. He cares for patients with inflammatory eye disease and glaucoma whose conditions often overlap, drawing on his expertise in both areas to protect vision over the long term. At the OHSU Casey Eye Institute, he evaluates patients with red, painful, or light-sensitive eyes, unexplained vision changes, and complex diagnoses that require careful, individualized treatment plans.
Originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, Dr. Rivera-Grana earned his medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Puerto Rico, followed by uveitis fellowships at Oregon Health & Science University and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He then returned to Portland for a glaucoma fellowship at OHSU Casey Eye Institute and Devers Eye Institute of Legacy Health.
His clinical and research interests include uveitic glaucoma and other challenging inflammatory eye conditions. Patients describe him as warm, thorough, and attentive to their questions.
