About Me
Elvisa Loshe, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at UMass Chan Medical School’s Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. She offers modern cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) alongside care for common retinal and ocular surface conditions. Patients value her down-to-earth communication style, which reflects a first career outside medicine and a long-standing commitment to service and education.
Dr. Loshe completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto before earning her MD from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute/Detroit Medical Center, later returning to academic practice to teach residents while caring for the community. Her goal is to pair up-to-date techniques with practical guidance so patients leave each visit with a clear plan to protect and improve their vision.
