About Me
Dr. Elizabeth Tegins is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon at NJRetina, where she has been practicing since July 2019. She treats a wide range of retinal conditions and performs advanced surgical procedures. Dr. Tegins is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists.
She completed her medical degree at the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine and her ophthalmology residency at The Kreiger Eye Institute at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Tegins then pursued a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Iowa, gaining experience in experimental gene therapy surgeries. She previously practiced in North Carolina before returning to the tri-state area.
Dr. Tegins is on the medical staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood. She is committed to providing comprehensive retinal care, combining advanced surgical techniques with a patient-centered approach.
