Dr. Darmakusuma Ie

Dr. Darmakusuma Ie is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and medical degree from Tulane University Medical School, where he earned academic honors. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Retina Institute of Maryland. Dr. Ie is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Ie treats a range of retinal conditions including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, macular holes, and retinal detachments. He also specializes in diagnostic retinal imaging and surgical repair of retinal detachments. He has published and lectured on these topics and serves as a staff physician at several hospitals in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
