About Me
Elizabeth A. Fairless, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and medical retina specialist at the Dean McGee Eye Institute. Born and raised in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, she graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College before earning her medical degree from Yale. She completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Oklahoma’s Dean McGee Eye Institute, where she served as chief resident and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, followed by a fellowship in medical retina at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center.
Dr. Fairless cares for patients needing cataract surgery as well as those living with vitreoretinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular occlusions, and inherited retinal disease. She is committed to health equity and partners with tribal eye clinics across Oklahoma to improve access to care. Patients appreciate her thoughtful explanations, evidence-based treatment plans, and focus on preserving and improving vision over the long term.
