About Me
Dr. Barnett's clinical approach centers on forming a partnership with each patient to manage their glaucoma. He encourages patients to ask questions and seeks to ensure they understand the nature of their condition and the rationale behind treatment options. Because glaucoma is often asymptomatic until advanced stages, Dr. Barnett emphasizes the importance of patient education to empower informed decision-making.
Dr. Barnett specializes in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and related eye diseases. He offers services including glaucoma laser surgery, combined glaucoma and cataract surgery, and complex cataract surgery. He treats a range of glaucoma types, from adult and adolescent glaucoma to advanced and angle-closure glaucoma. Dr. Barnett is a professor of ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and sees patients at the Eye Institute at Froedtert Hospital and the Westbrook Health Center.
