About Me
Dr. David J. Sackel is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and external disease, including corneal transplants and the management of corneal ulcers. He works with patients to diagnose the cause of blurry vision, discomfort, or poor vision quality and to map out a plan that improves both sight and daily comfort.
He also performs cataract and refractive surgery, guiding patients through lens and vision-correction options to match their goals. Dr. Sackel is known for a thoughtful, education-focused approach so patients understand their diagnosis, what to expect from treatment, and how to care for their eyes long term.
Dr. Sackel completed ophthalmology residency training at New York University (NYU) and cornea and refractive surgery fellowship training at Emory University.
