About Me
Dr. David Mora-Boellstorf is an ophthalmologist with a clinical and research interest in retinal disease. He cares for adults with conditions affecting the back of the eye, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, and other macular disorders. His goal is to combine careful examination and advanced imaging with clear explanations so patients understand how their retina is functioning and what treatments can help protect their vision over time.
Dr. Mora-Boellstorf completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas, and went on to an ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh. He has a strong interest in retinal research and in translating emerging evidence into day-to-day patient care. Dr. Mora-Boellstorf works collaboratively with referring eye care providers and primary care physicians to coordinate ongoing care for patients with systemic conditions such as diabetes that impact eye health.
