About Me
Dr. David A. Salz is a board-certified ophthalmologist who joined The Eye Specialists in 2015. He specializes in medical retina, treating conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, and also performs LASIK and cataract surgery. Dr. Salz is skilled in using advanced lens implants, including multifocal, astigmatism-correcting (Toric), and extended-range-of-focus (Symfony) lenses, to help patients achieve their best possible vision.
He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Boston University, graduating summa cum laude at the top of his class. Dr. Salz then completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital, consistently ranked the top training program in the country, and pursued a medical retina fellowship at Tufts Medical Center under world-renowned experts.
Dr. Salz is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and frequently presents at national and international conferences. Committed to global eye care, he has participated in medical missions in Kenya, Ghana, and Peru.
