Dr. Daniel Lee
About Me
Dr. Daniel Lee is a glaucoma specialist and ophthalmologist dedicated to advanced eye care. A New Jersey native, he completed his undergraduate education in Honors Biology at Boston College and earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He further trained with an ophthalmology residency at Yale University and a glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital.
After his fellowship in 2016, Dr. Lee joined the Glaucoma Service at Wills Eye Hospital, where he served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of the Glaucoma Research Center. He has trained numerous medical students, residents, and fellows, and has been a primary investigator in clinical trials for next-generation glaucoma therapies and diagnostic instruments. With over 100 publications, he regularly presents his research at local, national, and international meetings.
Dr. Lee specializes in high-volume complex glaucoma and cataract surgery, focusing on predictive factors for surgical outcomes and patient quality of life. An educator at heart, he speaks on medical and surgical decision making and is proficient in Spanish and Korean to better serve a diverse patient community.
