About Me
Dr. Daniel J. Watson is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care and cataract and laser surgery through WashU Medicine Physicians. He evaluates and treats common and complex eye problems, including glaucoma, corneal disease, diabetic eye disease, and dry macular degeneration. Dr. Watson partners with patients to choose treatments that fit their vision needs, from preventive screening and monitoring to surgical options when appropriate.
Dr. Watson earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago and completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University. As an Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, he focuses on clear communication and evidence-based care so patients know what to expect at every step of their visit.
