About Me
Dr. Cynthia L. Montana is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides general eye care, cataract surgery, glaucoma care, and diabetic eye care. She sees patients through WashU Medicine Physicians and serves as Director of the University Eye Service, where she supports high-quality, patient-centered care in a teaching-clinic environment.
Dr. Montana brings a strong academic foundation to everyday eye care and focuses on careful exams, clear communication, and helping patients make confident decisions about treatment and long-term vision health.
She completed an ophthalmology residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Montana earned her medical degree and a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and completed undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia. She has been recognized with a Dean’s Impact Award for dedication to community engagement.
