Dr. Clara Castillejo Becerra is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides thoughtful, individualized care for adults and children. Dr. Castillejo Becerra completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and a Master of Science at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Originally from Lima, Peru, she is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys caring for patients from diverse backgrounds.

At the Cataract & Laser Institute, she offers comprehensive evaluations and modern treatment options tailored to each patient’s vision goals, with an emphasis on comfort, safety, and continuity of care throughout surgery and recovery. During medical school, she was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship, a merit-based full-tuition scholarship, and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her compassionate patient care.
