Dr. Christopher Lum

Dr. Christopher Lum is a board-certified ophthalmologist who practices with the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. He was born and raised in Kerman, California, and developed an interest in medicine after receiving quality care for a sports injury. His experience as a patient showed him the impact physicians can have, leading him to pursue a career in medicine. After a rotation in ophthalmology, he found his calling in the balance of clinic care and surgery.

Dr. Lum is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is committed to staying on the cutting edge of his profession by attending national meetings. His philosophy of care is to treat every patient as if they were his own family, offering the most advanced and effective treatment options while learning about their interests to help guide their care.
