About Me
Dr. Christopher Stefonowicz is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with fellowship training in glaucoma. He helps patients manage eye pressure safely over the long term and offers both medical and surgical options tailored to disease severity and lifestyle. He also performs cataract surgery and counsels patients on when combined cataract-glaucoma procedures may improve comfort, convenience, and vision. Patients describe his care as thorough, collaborative, and focused on practical next steps.
Dr. Stefonowicz completed ophthalmology residency at The University of Kansas and a glaucoma fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina’s Storm Eye Institute. He received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and graduated cum laude from the University of St. Thomas. He keeps up with advances in MIGS and laser technology to offer modern, less-invasive options whenever appropriate.
