Dr. Christopher O'Brien

Dr. Christopher P. O’Brien practices both pediatric and comprehensive ophthalmology, serving patients in East Tennessee. He holds a unique combination of advanced degrees, having earned his MD, MBA, and MPH concurrently from Tulane University in New Orleans. His undergraduate training in economics at Washington University in St. Louis provides a foundation for his patient-centered approach.

Dr. O’Brien completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued specialized fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of California San Diego’s Shiley Eye Center and the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Outside of his practice, he enjoys crossfit, music, photography, and spending time with his family.
