Meet Dr. Christopher Michael Spearman

Dr. Christopher M. Spearman is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical care for cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and dry eye. A Pittsburgh native, he studied biochemistry and molecular biology at Penn State, completed medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and finished internship at Lankenau Medical Center. He then completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin before joining Scott & Christie Eyecare Associates in 2019. Dr. Spearman offers modern cataract surgery with laser assistance, astigmatism management, and advanced technology intraocular lenses—including multifocal and extended depth-of-focus options—and performs microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) when appropriate. He is an active member of national ophthalmology societies and enjoys time outdoors with his family when not in the clinic or operating room.
